Ever since 1998, Doha Golf Club has hosted the prestigious Qatar Masters tournament, now sponsored by Commercialbank and held in February as part of the European PGA tour schedule. Each year many of the world’s top golfers compete on the Club’s unique and challenging desert-type Championship Course, designed by Peter Harradine – one of the world’s leading golf course architects, measuring 7,374 yards from the tournament tees.
This year February 2nd – 5th sees the Commercialbank Qatar Masters in Doha. With a star-studded line-up that includes World Number Two Lee Westwood, World Number Four Martin Kaymer, World Number Ten Jason Day, former US Open Champion Graeme McDowell and US PGA Tour stars KJ Choi and Hunter Mahan, the Commercialbank Qatar Masters is expected to see record attendance figures at Doha Golf Club.
“The tournament has become such an important part of Qatar’s social and sporting calendar,” said Qatar Golf Association (QGA) President Hassan Al Nuaimi.
Tickets for the tournament are on sale at Doha Golf Club and the Marriott Courtyard priced QR50 for daily access and QR175 for a season pass with entrance also including live nightly entertainment from Billy Ocean, The Beat and Arrested Development in the Tournament Public Village.
